India-Sri Lanka ferry service cancelled on Day 2
The high-speed passenger ferry service between Nagapattinam and Kankesanthurai in Sri Lanka, which was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe, has been cancelled due to lack of patronage. The service, launched by the Shipping Corporation of India, will now operate thrice a week instead of daily.
